When you stop emotionally investing in your past and begin to appreciate it for what it is and learn from it you have the opportunity to create a magical and wonderful life!
Let me ask you some questions.
What does your emotional bank look like and how much time, energy and attention do you invest on your past?
Where does your focus fly to - the pain and hurt or happiness and joy of your past?
Many people who are unhappy in life focus on the wrongs, pain, regrets and hurt of the past.
When you emotionally invest in these emotions and experiences you are simply re-creating and re-living these past experiences and this causes more pain, hurt, regrets and more missed opportunities.
By focussing on the past you invest your energy into the wrong place and miss the joys, happiness and peace that is here today.
One of the first step towards creating a happy and fulfilled life is to let go of your past. The past has happened and you can not change that but you have opportunity to create a much happier and fulfilled life today.
By letting go of the past you take responsibility for your life. Invest your energy into what you can change - today and your future.
Create acceptance of what has happened in the past and be grateful for those experiences - no matter how painful or hurtful - as they created the person you are today.
Having a space and holding the past pain to eventually heal allows you to be more compassionate and love to others on a much grander scale.
Learn from the past, ask yourself what did it teach me? If you open your heart you can begin to see that the past has perhaps taught you strength, courage, compassion, empathy, kindness and understanding.
The power is in your hands and hearts. You are the own author of your life, your own artist. Get creative and follow your hopes, wishes and desires.
I now see my past as a gift, the pain and hurt gave me the strength to succeed in my life. It taught me many lessons and I used these as a map and guidelines on how I wanted to live my life. If I didn't have my past experience I wouldn't be the person or therapist I am today.
And that I am grateful for.
I dare you today to live today as it was your last, experience in each moment in time from your heart. Don't get caught up in the past. Learn from it. Heal. Move on and appreciate the life you have now.
Make the most of being you. Live your dreams. Connect with your talents, gifts, and unique qualities and have fun!
I didn't have a happy past, for many years it was full of self-hatred, depression and anxiety. I decided one day that I wanted to make the most of this life and went on a journey of self-discovery, healing and empowerment.
Now through my work as a London Hypnotherapist, Life Coach and Mindfulness Practitioner I help people to heal, develop their inner strengths, resources and abilities to experience life at their fullest.

Are you searching for meaning in your life?
Perhaps feel that you should be “happy” and content with what you have achieved yet something feels missing.
Perhaps you have achieved all you want to, and reached your earning power but you are still not happy?
Let me ask you this question: Do you let your head rule your life or are you guided by your heart?
Just think about that question as you read on.
One of the biggest misconceptions and inner conflicts is that we believe we should be ruled by our head not out hearts. When we allow our mind and ego to lead us and influence our decision making or even how we communicate with others we are not be truly authentic.
Being ruled by our mind all the time leads us on a path of self-preservation, self-control and fear. The mind doesn’t like change, feels uncomfortable and likes to protect and keep us safe.
The heart on the other hand wants us to succeed, be happy and fulfil all our dreams and live our life to our maximum and true potential.
I was once be ruled by my head. All the decisions I made in my life were based on fear, self-limiting beliefs and anxiety. No wonder I was so unhappy!
Learning to listen to my heart was uncomfortable at times – it took me out of my comfort zone but it was rewards were worth it.
A heart centred life is about being true to yourself, authentic and following your purpose in life.
Many people who are ruled by their head often live a life based upon fear. For some their motivation and drive life is money, and from this place exist a place of fear. Fear of not having enough money, or using money and material things to gain respect. They work hard, sacrificing their personal life and dreams to earn all they can for financial security. They then use the money to buy cars, gadgets, holidays or eating at expensive restaurants.
However at their core there is still a level of unhappiness. Because they have disconnected from their true and authentic self. Their dreams, hopes and desires were pushed aside for monetary success.
I have coached many people who are successful, wealthy have it all yet something fundamental is missing from their lives. The are not listening and following their heart desires. They got caught up in the trap of success, money and material possessions.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Our true happiness is not connect with how much money we have or what job we do.
True happiness comes from living a heart centred life and being authentic. When you are connected to a heart centred life you are also connected to your passions, talents, gifts and power and the rest will naturally follow.
Living a heart centred life is not about scarifying success or wealth, it's about creating a more emotional rich and deeper meaningful life.
My life is a heart centred path. I am following my heart, path and purpose. I creatively used my passion to build and develop a thriving therapy practice. I am true to me and my dreams. My life is about service to others, love, kindness, compassion, laughing, drawing, writing and being with in nature. A place where my needs are also important. That’s when I am at my happiest.
Everything else is just a wonderful bonus!

Courage is an important and fundamental aspect of change and happiness.
Creating change in ourselves and in life involves risks and taking risks.
When people are ready to take that leap into their dreams or to create changes into their life it takes a lot of courage and faith to step into the unknown.
Perhaps you have dreams, hopes and desires. Maybe you would like to go travelling, change career paths, or even change the way you live your life and become more authentic. Maybe you want to leave your current relationship but you are afraid of being alone.
There are so many different things you want to experience and do with your life but you have responsibilities. Bills need to be paid, family or work commitments and mortgage payments.
And then there is the fear and what ifs.
What if it doesn't work out, have no money, end up lonely or fail.
But what if it works out perfectly, you are much happier, feel better about yourself, and you realise how powerful, wonderful and amazing your are.
As Marianne Williamson, a spiritual teacher, said:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?"
In my work as a London Life Coach I witness a lot of people hiding from their power, talents, gifts and unique capabilities. Some even strive for the wrong dream. Money
Money doesn't give us real and deep happiness. Money can make our life more comfortable, but if we dislike ourselves, or are hiding from our true selves no amount of money will give us joy and true happiness.
What do you need to help you to take the leap of faith?
Sometimes you need to opt for the uncomfortable to improve your life. It's naturally when stepping into the unknown to be a little fearful, however it's important to discover how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
When your heart tells you it's time to change do not ignore or dismiss it. Listen to it and act upon it.
Just imagine 50 years from now reflecting upon your life. What will your regrets be? Did you fulfill your dreams? If not, what can you do now allow your dreams to become your reality.
Step into your power with courage and allow yourself to shine.
