Here I am patting my little cat called Huckleberry. She is a sweet little cat however years are catching up with her and she has the natural aches and pains which comes to most animals as they get older.
As I sit here with her patting her and she is purring away quite content and it got me thinking of how important love and touch is to all living beings - including us humans!
There are many things which can stop us from loving another deeply and truly such as fear of rejection, intimacy issues, sexual problems, anxiety, lack of self worth, or issue from the past.
Social media is a way of connecting with so many people - but it is also a barrier to really connecting with others. How many times do you go out and see teenagers out with each other - but engaging with their mobile phones and missing what is right in front of them.
To connect with others we must first disconnect. How true for this time of social media.
Many people search for money for their happiness but true happiness comes from love and with. I read a news article the other day about a westlife member (former boy band) who was bankrupt due to bad investments into the property sector. He has a wife and children and when we declared himself bankrupt he had £500 pounds to his name.
Through the process of getting himself back on his feet he discovered himself and what was important for him - his family. Having too much money actually made him unhappy so we wants to start a solo career and earn enough to support his family.
These experiences that we go though sometimes, although stressful at the time, can be a learning and a gift as it allows us to re-focus on what is important - love, family and friends and what is right for us.
When we open our hearts to love, our whole world expands and we begin to see things in their true light - and they flow of love and understanding naturally flows into others.
Today - how would it be to focus on what you love, embody that and live it!

Many people believe that meditation is all about being peaceful and calm. Sit still for 60 minutes and the rest of the day will be filled with calmness and if not then it's a failure!
Meditation is also a pathway to getting to your know your deeper most inner self. Don't worry - it's not as scary as it sounds!
Let me explain
We tend to shut off part of ourselves to the world and also ourselves. This closed part can consist of dark thoughts, emotions or experiences. We can not bare to look at them, let alone allow others to also see it.
So our energy in spent on trying to hide from ourselves and others that we forget how to truly live.
Does that resonate with you? I know it did with me many years ago.
I did therapy, personal development workshops, read so many self-help books, it helped a little but I still felt that something was missing - I still loathed myself.
I was feeling frustrated, lost, and lonely in London, so out of desperation I decided to go away for a week's meditation workshop in the wilds of Scotland.
This was a magical (and rather emotional) week of getting to know myself again. Meditation gave me the courage to meet my inner demons head on - the shame, guilt, depression and everything else that was there.
At first it was frightening and so very uncomfortable but gradually my life just seemed to fall back into place. All the emotions I thought were dark were actually normally - each person experiences these as some point in their lives, however the longer I tried to hide from them the darker they felt.
The more I accepted each emotion, feeling and thought I realised that self-hatred transformed into self love and my life became much deeper and more enriched in many ways.
When I reflect on my life now I am amazed how far meditation has helped me, I have deeper connection with myself, others and nature. It gave me the courage to be ME and reach for my dreams.
Meditation helped shaped my life and I would love to share what I have experienced to help you to gain a deeper and enriched life.
Meditation is not just constricted to clearing your mind of thoughts, it's also a pathway to understand yourself and feel more connected and stronger in your life.
Imagine how powerful meditation can be when it is also combined with hypnotherapy, counselling and coaching.

I was reminiscing while I was away on holiday feeling very blessed and happy about my life, but believe me it wasn’t always like that – for many years I was living in a state of anxiety, depression, hiding and feeling so very unhappy.
I started thinking about my own journey and where I am today in my personal and professional life. I realised that in a way I created an internal map or navigation system and this map or navigation system is made up of "rules to live your life by".
These rules that I use to navigate my life with are a combination of ancient spiritual wisdom with a modern day edge thrown in mixed together and as a result comes true happiness and success.
Happiness and success does not come grow from material things, or possessions, true happiness comes from within. Happiness is always within us, sometimes we just need an internal map to find our way.
Forty top rules to live your life by
