Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Hypnotherapy and Counselling
Do you want to:
Hello and Welcome. My name is Linda Connors and I am hypnotherapist trained and specialising in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and helping with IBS anxiety relaxed issues. I offer a positive, inspirational, and empowering approach to help you to manage and overcome IBS symptoms and to get you life back on track.
I understand how it feels to have IBS, to experience the pain, bloating and discomfort because I was diagnosed about 15 years ago with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. My integrated approach and treatment plan for IBS and gut hypnosis combines many therapeutic approaches such as hypnosis, mind and body connection, counselling, coaching with a mindfulness approach.
You will experience a warm and inviting space for you to talk about how IBS impacts you and more importantly how to create change in your life so IBS no longer holds you back from living the life you want.
Below you will find more information about IBS, and how I can help you. If you feel you are ready to speak to me call me on 075 3421 3557. Appointments for IBS hypnotherapy and counselling are available in Central London in Harley Street and I also work with clients via skype.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common condition which disrupts the function of the bowel and for some people can be chronic and may impact all aspects of life, such as from social to professional and relationships, unable to make plans, feeling embarrassed about the symptoms.
IBS is deliberating as it can cause a great deal of discomfort and distress in your life. Activities such as using public transport, attending meetings, socialising, dating, attending the cinema or theatre or even travelling can be severely impacted due to IBS.
What causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome
The cause of IBS is unknown and is usually diagnosed when other medical conditions are ruled out. It may be triggered by a number of factors such as; stress, illness, medication, or a problem problem with the digestive system muscles.
How you feel and deal with emotions can also impact the IBS symptoms. Anxiety, stress and panic attacks can all impact how your gut operates.
IBS symptoms
The symptoms of IBS can vary from person to person such as pain and discomfort, bloating, cramping, diarrhoea, constipation, urgently to go to the bathroom, feeling nausea, wind, tiredness and muscle pains.
IBS Hypnotherapy and Counselling
The integrated IBS treatment plan I offer works on two levels:
Hypnotherapy, visualisations, and breathing exercises to help manage and perhaps even overcome pain, cramping, bloating, wind, diarrhoea and constipation.
Hypnosis, counselling, coaching, mindfulness, breathing exercises, stress and anxiety management to help you to manage and overcome anxiety, panic and stress which may be related to Irritable Bowel Syndrome to help you feel physically more relaxed, calm, comfortable, emotionally stronger and a greater sense of inner well-being.
I have received specialist training to work with IBS and anxiety related conditions. I incorporate the IBS GUT specific method which has been researched and tested over many years which fundamentally enhances the mind to re-learn new ways of behaving and thinking. Through my experience and personal experience of IBS I have integrated my skills and experience to with IBS in an effective manner which is also personalised to your personal needs and requirements – so it’s not a one treatment to fit all.
