Most people have preceived assumptions and expectations about hypnotherapy and what it can achieve, this is as a result of the way hypnosis is proytrayed in the media, in movies, stage shows and also some websites that claim hypnosis can cure everything in just one session.
I wanted to get together a list of myths and misconceptions I have heard over the many years I have been working with people.
Hypnosis has the potential to be a powerful healing and personal development tool it's also important that you are committed to the sessions and creating change in your life.
While the usage of hypnosis is relatively safe it's important that if you have any medical conditions to speak to your doctor before undertaking any hypnotherapy.
It's also very important that you work with a Hypnotherapist who is experienced, fully trained and has an understanding of human emotions as there are unfortunately some hypnosis training which only consists of training for a weekend.
If you are considering working with a hypnotherapist ask questions about their qualifications, do they have supervision, insurance or belong to a hypnotherapy association.
Also listen to you intuition, your "gut" feeling what feels right.
