As a hypnotherapist who also practices personal and business life coaching I see many people held back by fear. Indeed, I remember a time when fear also held me back!
I was a very shy and quiet person back in my 20s. When I reached around my mid 20s I decided to travel the world. I became fearless! Travelling through India, Africa, Indonesia, Egypt I embraced and faced my fears. I was scared of heights so I went sky diving in Africa. I wasn't a very strong swimmer but I still went white water rafting (and fell out and got caught up in whirl pool - but that's another story!).
My fearlessness also helped when I decided to give up my job and set up my own private practice. I have walked my talk!
So here are some tips I can offer you to help you to free yourself from fear and develop a can do attitude!
Tip 1 - Embrace fear
Fear doesn't have to be crippling and restricting in your life. Begin to use it's energy to drive you forward.
Ask yourself "what is fear trying to tell me?" and then challenge it.
Life wasn't meant to be watched from the side lines, embrace and grab it by its horns!
Tip 2 - Trust yourself
Stop comparing yourself to other people. You are one amazing and unique individual. Begin to recognise all your wonderful inner assets, abilities and strengths.
Tip 3 - Take risks
Human beings need variety, if we keep to the same routine life gets a little dull and predictable and you may lose your lust for life. Take a step out of your comfort zone in love, work and social life. Life wasn't meant to be watched from a sofa - this your life so make your dreams a reality.
Tip 4 - Trust your inner voice
Deep down within you there is a part of you that knows what you need to do in this life. Start to open your heart so can hear it's message. Trust the voice and all you have within you.
If you want to do something - go and do it, stop making excuses as today is the perfect day to start developing your can do attitude!
