Courage is an important and fundamental aspect of change and happiness.
Creating change in ourselves and in life involves risks and taking risks.
When people are ready to take that leap into their dreams or to create changes into their life it takes a lot of courage and faith to step into the unknown.
Perhaps you have dreams, hopes and desires. Maybe you would like to go travelling, change career paths, or even change the way you live your life and become more authentic. Maybe you want to leave your current relationship but you are afraid of being alone.
There are so many different things you want to experience and do with your life but you have responsibilities. Bills need to be paid, family or work commitments and mortgage payments.
And then there is the fear and what ifs.
What if it doesn't work out, have no money, end up lonely or fail.
But what if it works out perfectly, you are much happier, feel better about yourself, and you realise how powerful, wonderful and amazing your are.
As Marianne Williamson, a spiritual teacher, said:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?"
In my work as a London Life Coach I witness a lot of people hiding from their power, talents, gifts and unique capabilities. Some even strive for the wrong dream. Money
Money doesn't give us real and deep happiness. Money can make our life more comfortable, but if we dislike ourselves, or are hiding from our true selves no amount of money will give us joy and true happiness.
What do you need to help you to take the leap of faith?
Sometimes you need to opt for the uncomfortable to improve your life. It's naturally when stepping into the unknown to be a little fearful, however it's important to discover how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
When your heart tells you it's time to change do not ignore or dismiss it. Listen to it and act upon it.
Just imagine 50 years from now reflecting upon your life. What will your regrets be? Did you fulfill your dreams? If not, what can you do now allow your dreams to become your reality.
Step into your power with courage and allow yourself to shine.
