Read these 8 inspirational tips to help you to be more creative and live more creatively.
As a London Hypnotherapist I have worked with many clients with my creativity hypnotherapy programme and it's amazing to see as they remove their blocks, thinking patterns and open up to their inner world of creativity how they begin to shine.
In society we often underestimate the need to nurture our creative side but being creative is a natural part of being human. Being creative is not something that "happens" or you can't set out and say "today I am going to be more creative". It's an organic process, which happens naturally but you can give it a helping hand.
Here are eight tips to help you to be more creative in all aspects of your life.
1 - Stop wasting time - Internet and TV
Do you hide from life from behind your smart phone or laptop, or you enjoy watching reality TV shows as it helps you escape from your life?
Turn it off now! The internet and TV numbs you, and the more time you spend engaged with these the more dull, numb and uninteresting you become.
2 - Take time out for you
Go for a walk, do yoga or sit and meditate. Take time and allow everything to just be. Stop and smell the flowers, be moved by the sun setting or the stars at time.
3 - Dance
Dancing helps you to get into you body, and this is where creativity lives. Go out and dance, try 5 rhythms dancing, or when you are home turn your music up and let your body do the talking!
Remember dance like no one is watching and dance like everyone is watching!
4 - Eat healthily
You are what you eat, if you eat heavy and processed foods you will feel heavy and your creative energy will become stuck. Nurture yourself with fresh fruit and veggies.
5 - Understand your body clock
We all have different body clocks, I am more creativity in the early morning and again during the late afternoon, so I use this time to work.
6 - Forgive yourself
The more you hold onto your past the more your body becomes blocked and stuck. By accepting and forgiving yourself your body will be more open to the creative spark which is there waiting to be released!
7 - You are the artist of your own life
You are the artist of your own life, so each day ensure you spend time nurturing who you are. Get a sketch book, and go sit somewhere quite and just sketch, or get a pen and paper and allow the words to flow from you - just write and see where the words take you.
8 - Putting the above into actions
It's easy to read this article on tips to be more creativity - however it's also easy to go away and not put any of these into action.
I challenge you to act on these tips for two weeks. Turn your TV off and shut down your computer and really start to live your life, the more you live the more creative you will be. Your special life is a gift and honour it by really living and being in this beautiful world.
Notice how your life changes as you become happier, balanced and much more creative.
